The 2467B is a 2465B with a different tube. TekWiki calls it identical apart from the micro-channel plate CRT, an electron multiplier that amplifies the beam so fast, rarely repeating signals stay bright enough to see. Tek specified a visual writing speed of 24 divisions per nanosecond in normal room light. The first 2467 arrived in 1986 at 350 MHz, and the 400 MHz 2467B's manual was first printed in May 1988. Everything else follows the 2465B, with four 400 MHz inputs, cursors, the CRT readout and the same options, and GPIB is still an extra (Option 10). The MCP wears with use. Tek's own manual explains differential aging, where spots the trace sits on for years lose gain, and the scope dims and then blanks itself if nobody touches a control. Tek's warranty covered the writing rate and excluded the aging.

What to check
The MCP loses gain where traces and readout have sat for years, which shows as darker patches on an evenly lit screen. It also shares the 2465B's leaking surface-mount capacitors and battery-backed calibration memory.
01MCP wear: Ask for a photo of an evenly lit screen, such as a fast sweep at high intensity. The glow should be even, with no darker bands where the baseline and readout usually sit.
02Bright traces: Ask for a short video of a fast, low-repetition signal at a fast sweep. It should stay clearly visible, which is the point of the MCP.
03Power-on test: Ask for a photo of the screen right after power-on. It should reach a trace with no TEST xx FAIL yy message.
04Shutdown: Leave it untouched for a while on arrival. SHUTDOWN flashing on screen is normal, and any control brings the display back.
05Options: Check the photos for GPIB status lights above the CRT if the listing says GPIB. No lights means no Option 10.
06NVRAM and capacitors: Ask whether the NVRAM and surface-mount capacitors have been replaced. Good is a yes with a date and no TEST 06 at power-on.
07Packing: Ask how it will be packed. Good is a double box with foam all round and the front cover on.
We'd buy chpsurplus's 2467B at $1,279 delivered, because it's titled with three probes and the manual and its photo shows a trace with the readout on. Only 7 are for sale, and two of those come from a 93.8% seller whose photos show a NanoVNA and an empty cabinet, so the $675–1,300 band is a rough guide from five listings, not a market read. The MCP tube is the expensive part and loses gain where traces have sat for years, so ask for a photo of an evenly lit screen with no darker bands, plus a power-on photo with no TEST FAIL message. Skip kdc_collective's two $625 listings.

Tektronix 2467B 400MHz 4-Channel Analog Oscilloscope with Accessory Pouch
Titled with three probes and the manual, and the photo shows a trace with the readout on. Ask for a photo of an evenly lit screen to check the MCP for darker bands.
Titled calibrated and low hours, with Option 5 TV trigger, and listed as refurbished. Hours matter on a 2467B because the MCP wears with use, so ask for the calibration certificate and its date.
A 2467BHD with Option 5H HDTV trigger and Option 6 counter/timer, titled with a P6137 probe and the manual, at $1,275 delivered. The photo shows a trace and readout, so ask for the even-screen photo before you buy.
