A spectrum analyzer shows signal strength against frequency, which is how you find harmonics, spurs, interference and modulation on an RF signal. Frequency range, noise floor and resolution bandwidth are the numbers to compare. Used, the input is the part to worry about, because too much power or DC on it can damage the front end. Ask for a screenshot of a known signal at the expected level and another with nothing connected, which should show a clean, flat noise floor. Confirm any tracking generator or option the title claims in the photos.
