Type
An oscilloscope draws voltage against time, so you can see a signal's shape, timing and noise. Used ones split into analog CRT scopes, which show the signal live, and digital storage scopes, which sample it, freeze it and can send it to a PC. Bandwidth is the headline number, and on a digital scope the sample rate with every channel on matters too. On an analog scope, look for CRT burn and a dim trace. On a digital one, look for missing option modules, license keys and probes. On either, ask for a photo of the screen after power-on.
